Łódź, Poland 8-13.04.2022

The mobility started with a welcome ceremony that featured performances by local pupils and speech from the headmistress.

On the first day pupils took part in icebreaking activities and art lesson – creative expressions during which participants were encouraged to interact, cooperate and collaborate within international groups.

During art lesson kids were introduced to basic art techniques, which provided a solid foundation for their future paintings or drawings. The session focuses on a specific methods. Children learnt by watching a demonstrational video of talented artist and then they applied these learnt techniques to create their works.

On the second day participants went to Warsaw. They went on a guided tour to the Royal Castle and Old Town Square, then visited the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, Palace of Culture and Science and the Cosmos Discovery Space Exhibition.

On the third day participants visited EC1 (Science Center) – City of Culture. It was a guided tour of the Old Heat Power Station and Power Plant. They also had a chance to visit Center of Science and Technology where they had workshops and could take part in scientific exhibitions, experiments and games.

Afterwards, students went to the Planetarium – where they watched a show about the history of flying and learned how airplanes work.

The fourth day started with Geography lesson Orienteering Game at Księży Młyn. Students, divided into groups, were given a list of Landmarks they must find and visit in a specific order, using only a map and a compass. At each spot, Polish students told the history of the place, and gave them a question and a task to fulfill.

In the evening, students were divided into groups and had fun at Experymentarium - where they could learn, hands on, how the law of physics applies in real life and Arena Laser Games – where they played a mess-free laser version of paintball, both located in the Manufaktura Complex.

Day five started with the guided tour of Museum of the City of Łódź – the Palace of Israel Poznański. Later, students shared their presentations about the project. After lunch the closing ceremony was held. In the evening, during dinner at Gęsi Puch Restaurant the students bid their goodbyes.
