SCIENCE IS ALL AROUND US ERASMUS+
SCIENCE IS ALL AROUND US ERASMUS+
The morning of the first day started at school where students and teachers participated in the Welcome program. There was shown the video ”Memories“ about the four previous mobilities. After that the students participated in the ice-breaking activities with the aim of getting acquainted with each other. Both students and teachers had a school tour and by means of qr codes learned some useful phrases in Croatian. Two workshops followed: Biology and PE and Math and Art workshop where students were supposed to see how science is connected to everything around us. In the afternoon the participants had another activity called ”Discover the city“. The aim of this activity was finding different points in town and finding out more about their significance.
On the day two participants of the project visited the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. During their visit to the Technical museum they learned a lot about electricity and the famous scientist Nikola Tesla. The students and the teachers also had a city tour during which they saw the Main Square, the Upper Town, the beautiful park Zrinjevac and many other interesting places.
The third morning the participants spent at the Department of Physics in Osijek where the physics students showed them three activities that they were supposed to perform. By means of their body weight or using different textures they saw what their influence on friction was. Later the students and the teachers explored the old part of the city and had a pleasant walk along the river Drava. In the evening it was the time for the videolessons from all five countries in which everybody showed what they learned during this project.
The plan for the fourth day was a trip to Geoinfo Center in Voćin where the participants watched a film about the origin of the World in the 6D cinema, which was a great experience for everybody. Through various interactive media (like VR glasses) the students and the teachers learned a lot about the Earth's history. After the museum it was time to visit Papuk – the Nature Park and UNESCO geopark. The participants enjoyed beautiful nature, waterfalls and walk through the protected forest of Papuk.
On the fifth day the participants came back to school where they took part in two interesting activities as the part of the team building: a music workshop (Djemba) and dance workshop in which the students of the Primary school Višnjevac taught the students from other countries a nice choreography. In the evening there was organized a farewell dinner where the participants received their Certificates, played a kahoot quiz about the week in Croatia and enjoyed time with their friends.
This mobility had a task to prove that the science really is all around us: in the nature, in the movement and music, in the art. The science moves the world and it is our task to use it in the best possible way.
